One of my favourite things about work is the interesting people I meet every day. When I remember, I ask people five quick questions 'before we finish' our meetings. This edition: Dave King, Director of Strategy at The Royals, "the world's most interested agency".

Who is your last text from? What does it say?

From a well-connected associate: "she's a good girl"

Do you have a mentor?

A number of mentors for different things. They're more like inspirational guiding lights, go to people in their fields of expertise.  A business mentor (Evan Dwyer of Red Zed), an aesthetic mentor (Lou Weis of Broached Commissions) and a media innovation guy (Nic Hodges of News).

Favourite failure? (your own)

I think I am too arrogant to answer this. I have to think about this one.

What podcast do you never miss?

Ethical Machines by Artificial Experience out of Berlin.

What haven't you achieved yet?

Something that creates a lasting cultural imprint.
