The middle of the year came and went in a flurry of activity for Character and our clients, with some great outcomes from speaking events such as Mumbrella 360 and the AFR Innovation Summit as well as ongoing media coverage - including an interview with our own Sarah Green in Smart Company.

MYOB had a busy few months, from opening their new office to launching a brand new creative platform, 'Done', covered by AdNews. MYOB is also on track to meet its goal of 1 million subscribers by 2020, as reported by Business Insider and The Australian. CEO Tim Reed was interviewed by the Australian Financial Review, and MYOB's Developher program was featured by Startup Daily

MYOB will also be bringing the ‘World Cup’ of startup conferences, Startup Grind, to Melbourne in December, as covered by The Urban List, Smart Company and Startup Daily.

Powershop also kept busy with the launch of their gas service, as covered by Canstar, partnering with Melbourne Museum to create the world’s largest pinwheel installation as featured on Channel Nine News. CEO Ed McManus shared his thoughts on what the ongoing debate around energy policy in The Age and Australian Financial Review, and COO Catherine Anderson explained what marketing simplicity looks like for her in the latest print edition of Marketing Mag

Mercedes-Benz Vans had their new X-Class luxury ute profiled in the Australian Financial Review, while PR & Corporate Communications Manager Blake Vincent also lent his advice to the simplicity issue of Marketing Mag.

Social enterprise PARK was profiled in Matters JournalPro Bono Australia and Generosity Mag, as well as being included in Smart Company's list of the local startups making the world a better place. New client the Wade Institute also made headlines in The Weekly Times and Smart Company for their latest Startup Sprint bootcamp, held in August .

We also delivered our first workshop for LaunchVic, spending a day discussing how to tell the story of your startup with a wonderful group of local entrepreneurs. Some of the workshop's alumni have already had some media success, with Matrak and Phoria featured in both The Australian, with Matrak additionally featured in Smart Company for their recent capital raise.
